I am an undergraduate student currently enrolled in the Software & Management Coop
program at McMaster University, striving to one day become successful in the field of
software engineering and to be a part of the movement to support, inspire, and empower
women in the engineering profession.
Aside from my career aspirations, I am a
music enthusiast and a hobbyist photographer! The two combined allows for my artistic
side to speak out.
During my second year of university, I started to learn C, a procedural language. I learned various new concepts such as memory allocation, recursion, identification of performance bottlenecks, optimization of performance, and pointers.
I self-taught Java in preparation for my second year courses. Throughout the process, I learned of some important concepts such as algorithms and data structures. This included, but is not limited to, Array Lists and simple searching and sorting algorithms.
As the first programming language I learned, I am most comfortable with Python. I delved into object-oriented programming and used data structures such as sets, lists, and tuples. I am currently finishing my professional certificate on data science in Coursera.
I love to get involved with my community. Some ways I showcase that is through joining extracurriculars that I am passionate about.
